Hi, Candice here. I just want to take a few moments with you and talk about learning curves and forgiveness.
Let’s start back in February 2017. I had my first paying client. I was so excited that someone would pay for my services. I do energy work. I had a will, service, and PayPal. I thought that was all I needed. Well I had about 6 clients during the next 5 months. I was okay with that. Well then we got a personal mentor who was were we wanted to be. He suggested we need some further training in running our own business. He also had a program in place that would give us another certification in energy work. So both Heath and I get certified. We are thinking great now all we need to do is start. So we get our C-Corp in place. We go to some expos and get contact info, purchase a marketing program, get some help in the accounting area, etc. etc. Now all we need is an income. So we are now helping clients but the numbers are low but they are coming in. I am so thankful that I can share this with others.
In this whole experience of learning how to build a business I have had to forgive myself for learning and not getting it right the first time. Even to the extent of telling our CPA that our business was an S-Corp and filling our taxes wrong (we are still getting that all worked out).
Has it been easy, NO, yet it has been worth it.
By being a business owner I have learned there is a correlation between the time I put in and what I get in return. I have learned many things about myself including, limiting beliefs, sales, and patience. I have also learned that everyday is a PAY DAY day by being a business owner.
Forgiving will be an ongoing process in all areas in my life.
